Super Sunday

It's a super Sunday for all kinds of reasons! For one thingie, alla us Ballicai got a beeyootiful awardie from my wife and sweetiepie, Ariel: the Works of Heart Awardie. Thank you so much, Sweetie!



And for another thingie, alla us Ballicai got another wunnerful awardie from our furriend Black-Cat: the Friendly Blogger Awardie. Thankies so much -- we are honored!



And still another thingie -- Momma got her author copies of her novel in the mail yesterday. She said something like YIPPEE SKIPPY! And she thought I might be innarested in checking out her book. Well, here's what happened:

Spazzy Saturday

Brainball: We're keeping Momma to her promise of letting us blog once a week! We wish we could do more, but Mom's just soooooo busy -- two more weeks until her novel is released. She's excited -- spazzing out like MaoMao -- but we Ballicai miss blogging and visiting our friends!

Now, would someone turn on this sink for me? I want a drink!



Dorydoo: We Ballicai have two boxes to play with, and MaoMao and I are making good use of them. Mom calls us "Boxicai" when we're playing in our boxes!



Marilyn: *singing from the top of Mom's computer* "I want to be loved by you, boop boop a doop!"



MaoMao: Hi, efurrybodies! We Ballicai have missed you. Like Brainball saided, Momma's gonna try to help us blog once a week. That's purretty good, as buzzy as she is. But don't worry, we aren't goin annywheres. We love the Kitty Bloggiesphere and alla our furriends!

3. We're excited fur Momma about her novel, efun if it means she can't help us bloggie as much.

5. Brainball likes to snuggle up against Daddy's legs at night, undur the cofurs.

6. Dorydoo doesn't meow. She SQUEEKS. And she hates hates hates hairball goop (alla the rest of us Ballicai like it fine).

7. Marilyn likes Temptayshuns, but she isn't as Temptayshun-crazy as the rest of us Ballicai.

8. I like cuddlin against Momma at night and makin biscuits on her pillow.

9. Brainball eats baby food squash efurry day to help him with his floofykitty hairball and poop issues. It helps him a lot.

10. Alla us Ballicai love love love catnip, but Dorydoo is the biggest niphead of us all.

Awards and Good News!

Here's Dorydoo and me and Brainball on the window perchie! We love it when Momma and Daddy can open the windows. We've had some warm days recently, and we've loved 'em!



And here's Marilyn waitin her turn on the perchie. Not long after this pickshure, she ran us all off and had the perchie to herself! GURLZ!

Last but not leasties, one of Momma's novels, Mirror Blue, has been accepted fur publication! Isn't that ecksiting? Her publisher is looking at a May release date for her novel. Wowie! She's got more infurmation on her bloggie, where she'll keep effurybody updated. She's workin on an author website, too, which she's plannin to launch soon. Momma's really stoked! (Don't worry, Momma's a much better spellur than I am.)

Silly Songs Saturday

Do any of you have Mommas or Daddies who sing silly songs to you?

Our Momma does it alla the time, in a silly voice, high pitched and sumetimes squealy (like how she sez SQUEE when she's ofurwhelmed by kitty cuteness).

One of the funniest of those songs is when she sings to alla us:

I can see Molecules of Ballicules. Us Ballicai are maded up of molecules. But Ballicules of Molecules? Are molecules maded up of Ballicules? Wouldn't that mean that one of the most basick ellements of mattur is CAT FUZZ?????

Hey, I think I like that theory.




One of Brainball's songs is:

We Ballicai are furry honured!

Catching Up!

Here we are, catchin up on our sleep... we love to snooze! Can ya tell? hehe








And we've got some awardies to catch up on, too! Omer, Daddy to Snow, Leo, and Fairy, and Jan's Funny Farm gaved us the I Love Your Cats Awardie. Thanks so much, Omer and Jan! We love alla yur kitties, yur woofies, and yur bloggies, too!

And here's somethin we've been meanin to do fur a long time: explain how we gotted our names. We'll explain about "Ballicai", too.

It all started with Brainball. His real name is Calamity Jake (when the beans thoughted he was a gurl, he was named Calamity Jane). The beans have always called him a Fuzzball with Eyes, and one day, "Fuzzball with Eyes" morphed into "Brainball", and they loved that nickname so much that they call him Brainball as much or more as they call him C.J. (his nickname fur Calamity Jake).

So Brainball was an only kitty fur three years, from 2001 until 2004. But then, Dorydoo joined the household! She was named Dora the Explorer 'cause she's furry curious and intense and smart and loves to ecksplore, but her nickname quickly became Dorydoo. And beckause she's a little black kitty, she gotted another nickname, too -- "Blackball" (notice the "ball" theme frum Brainball). And one day, the beans figured it out: Brainball and Dorydoo are BALLICAI (plural) and each one of 'em is a BALLICUS (singular). The beans maded up the words "Ballicai" and "Ballicus", based on the "ball" theme.

So the Ballicus Dynasty was borned.

Next, Marilyn joined the Ballicus Dynasty. She showed up as a stray kitty on the back porchie in late 2006, and the beans took her in. She was named Marilyn MonREOW after Marilyn Monroe, the famous acktress, beckause they are both glamour gurls. And beckause kitty Marilyn has two differently kolured eyes, one of her nicknames beckame "Eyeball" (notice kontinuashun of the "Ball" theme), which made her the thurd Ballicus.

And I joined the housiehold in early 2007 -- showed up on the back porchie just like Marilyn did. When Momma asked me, "Who are you?", I answered "MAO!" So I'm MaoMao. (Sometimes I'm MaoMaoMaoMaoMao!) And I'm the fourth Ballicus beckause sumetimes I'm called Maoball.

So there you have it -- how alla us gotted our names and how alla us beckame Ballicai!
