Tragic news: the beeyootiful and preshus Forest has left us quite shockingly and suddenly and is now at the Rainbow Bridge. Our purrs and our love go out to her loving and greeving fambly, Omer, Snow, Leo, and Fairy. Our hearts are with them at this diffikult time.

1. I love alla my sibs, but I'm speshully close to Brainball. He's not just my big bruther, he's my bestest furriend inna whole wide wurld. And he's my mentor and he's so much fun to rassle with and play with. He's also comfycozy to snuggle and snooze with, too. Here he is, sharin his shirt with me.






2. I talk a LOT. I say MAO MAO MAO MAO MAO!!!!! I MAO in the mornin and I MAO inna affernoon and I MAO at night. I MAO when I want somethin yummy, I MAO when I wanna play, I MAO when I wanna cuddle. And lotsa times, I MAO just so I can hear myself MAO!

3. When I get ecksited -- I mean, really really really hyper-spazzy ecksited -- I BARK. And when I bark, I leap into the air, then I tear thru the housie at about a skwillion miles an hour.

4.I love love love watur! Brainball and Dorydoo like drinkin watur outta the sinkie, but they don't like gettin it on their furs. Marilyn won't efun go in the sinkie fur a drink. But I get inna sinkies -- both inna baffroom and the kitchun -- to PLAY with the watur. I get down inna sinkie and try to WHAP it. Sometimes I get inna toilet cuz it just drives me crazy wunnerin where alla that watur goes when the beans flush!

5. Efun though I MAO a lot, I have a furry quiet purr. I purr, but you've gotta be superduper close to me to hear.

6. I've lived with Momma and Daddy and the othur Ballicai fur almost a year and a half now, and not in alla the time Momma and Daddy have known me have I efur HISSED. I nefur get mad at anykitty or anyone.

Silly Saturday... and an Award!

So me and Dorydoo are snoozin togethur onna recklinur. And yeah, that's still my Momma's fleecy shirt we Ballicai are sleepin on. She left it there fur us, and it's our sleepie shirt now, hehe.

Anyhows, I gotted in a really funny sleepin pozishun, and Dorydoo sez, MaoMao, you look silly.



So here's what I saided to Dorydoo... I gaved her the raspberry!

MaoMao's Gotcha Day PAW-TAY!!!!

Well, here it is, February 19, and I've been gotted fur a whole year! Wowie!

I showed up on Momma and Daddy's porch as a stray cat, well a stray kitten of about eight months old, and this is what I looked like. See how much lightur my furs was then:



Before I came into the housie, I helped my Daddy inna garage. Me and him had good guy-bonding time out there, and my Daddy's still extra-speshul to me.



Then I came into the housie, but not before I hadded an operation to take my nuts. I didn't know what had happened to 'em. I looked all ofur the housie and couldn't find 'em NOWHERE. Finally... I asked Momma, "WHERE ARE MY NUTS?!?!?"



Momma wroted about me on her writing bloggie, and Kimo and Sabi, my first furriends onna Kitty Bloggiesphere, said I ought to get a bloggie of my own! So I did!

(And by the way, I don't miss my nuts no more.)

Me and Brainball became fast furriends! He's my bestest furriend and my mentor, too.



It tooked Dorydoo a while to get used to me, but now we're great furriends, too. We love playin and rasslin and hangin out together. And I love chasin her and makin her SQUEEK!



Me and Marilyn get along good, too, as long as I don't chase her too much or sniff her butt. Here we are sleepin inna laundry pile!



And here I am, fully one-year gotted and goin on two years old! As a grown-up mancat, I've got darker furs now than when I was a little feller.



I am so glad I picked Momma and Daddy's back porchie to show up at. My fureffur home ROCKS. Momma and Daddy love me bunchies, and my bruther and sisturs are superduper!

Momma wroted a new short story, and it's got two kitties in it!

Hucklesby and I are out for our twilight walk up the mountain. Will I see Moonlight this time?

Today isn’t a good day for me. It’s Valentine’s Day, a day which brings, unbidden, images of what my life might have been, if only I’d made better decisions as a younger woman.

Regret, however, is a bitter companion. I prefer cats.

Like Hucklesby. A gray cat the color of twilight on a misty day. Though I might have been accompanied by other cats on my road not taken, none of them would have been my Hucklesby. He lives with me in my cabin in the woods but comes along on my twilight walks and never runs astray.

Tuesday Twosome

Me and my sistur Dorydoo have become bettur and bettur furriends -- for a long time now, we've been chase buddies and rassle buddies, but lately, we've started snoozin and snugglin togethur, too! Here we are, in Daddy's chair.



I love that pickshure (so does Momma). The only thing I don't like is that the stooopid kamera angle makes Dorydoo look BIGGUR THAN ME! And that ain't right cuz I'm BIGGER THAN HER! (So there, Dorydoo! hehe, nyah nyah nyah)

Resolution Meme

My beeyootiful sweetiepie Ariel taggied me fur the Resolution Meme. I'm so glad she's back -- I've missed her so muchies!



Fur this meme, I've gotta answur a kwestchun, and here it is:

When it comes to New Year’s Resolutions we seem to fall into four categories: 1) quite serious about them, 2) be flippant about them, 3) do it because we feel pressured to, or 4) do not do them. So, the purpose of this little game is to let us know which category you are in.

Well, I hafta say, I fall in CATegory 2. I like makin resolushuns fur funsies, but I know I ain't gonna keep most of 'em, so I reckon that means I'm flippunt about 'em.

Like here's some of the resolushuns I've made:

1. I won't sharpun my clawsies on Momma's butt to get her attentshun,

2. I won't pluck the coffee stirrurs outta Momma's coffee mug,

3. I won't sneek up onna countur and eat shredded cheddur cheesies when Momma's not lookin,

4. I won't pull up the foodie bowls and knock 'em around onna floor, gettin watur inna foodies,

5. I won't stoppur up the drain inna baffroom so the sink fills up and I get all wet playin in it (I love, love, love playin in watur),

6. I'll stop door dartin,

7. I'll quit openin the kabinets inna kitchun,

8. I'll quit hollerin MAO MAO MAO MAO MAO and wakin Momma up so eerly,

9. I'll quit gettin foodies all ofur the floor when I play my Foodie Game, so Momma won't have to sweep forty billion sqwillion times a day.

Now you and me and efurryone knows I'm gonna keep on doin alla those things cuz they're FUNSIES ecksept the door dartin. (I like bein an indoor kitty -- don't tell Momma, but what looks like door dartin is just me tryin to keep her on her toesies.)

Sassy Sister Sunday

Dang. All I was tryin to do was sniff Dorydoo's butt. And she tolded me off! See? Watch karefully at the first of the video. You'll see! And if Momma's kamera hadded sound, you'd hear Dorydoo say SQUEEK!



Me and Dorydoo are good furriends, but we're kinda rivals, too, cuz we're close to the same age. And though we like playin chase and rasslin togethur, Dorydoo likes to whap me and SQWEEK at me!

Guess she likes to think she's the boss of me just cuz she's a little bit oldur. Ha. Like that's gonna happun.

Sisturs!

Oh, if yur wonderin what them big plastic kontainurs are doin inna kitchen... Momma's doin a ginormous Housie De-klutterization Projeckt! And we Ballicai are snoopervising -- it's funsies!

Momma and Daddy recently made some more room in the basemunt to store stuffies in, so Momma's gettin more junk outta the house and, as she sez, "outta her face", hehe.

p.s. -- Daddy camed up with a funny new wurd for us Ballicai today: Ballicules. Rhymes with Molecules. Momma laffed her head off when he said it!

Easy Like Sunday

Momma's playin with the "motion pickshure mode" on her kamera. And she did a little bitty movie of me, layin onna purr pad in a snoozy mood! (I hope this works -- this movie stuff could be funsies!)

Furniture Friday

You know a housie-hold is run by cats when the comfiest furniture is used mostly by the cats! Here's Dorydoo and Brainball, claimin the reckliner in the name of Catdom.



And here I am, sleepin on the purr pad on the window perchie. Stricktly speakin, it isn't furniture, but I love it efun better than the reckliner.



I'm so comfy I don't efun notice that my ear is scrunchied undur my head, turned wrong-sided out. I was dreamin of my sweetie Ariel! I hope she is feelin closer and closer to 100% aftur her cold.

Alla us Ballicai are furry nice about sharin the furniture and our purr pads with one anuther. Well, most of the time. And sometimes we efun share the furniture with our beans!

It's Momma's Burfday today! But I don't know how old she is cuz I can't count that high. hehe!

1. When I get really superduper spazzed out and ecksited, I BARK. That's right. BARK. I sound like a little doggie. And whenefur Momma and Daddy hear me bark, they know it means I'm gonna be, within the next nanosekond, runnin a squillion miles all ofur the housie.

2. I love wearin a kollur! That surprised Momma and Daddy. I efun love the little bell! I like how it sounds when I spaz. It gives good musickal backup fur when I say MAO MAO MAO MAO MAO!

3. I find really funny places to sleep. Places where most anybodies wondurs how I can possibly be comfurtable. Like on toppa Momma's tennis shoes.



4. My big bruther Brainball and me are best furriends and love to play, snuggle, and snooze togethur.



5. Me and my sistur Dorydoo are great furriends, too, and we play chase all ofur the housie! And when we play, I love to hear her SQUEEK!

6. Marilyn and I don't play too much cuz she's oldur and not much into that kind of thing, but we get along good as long as I respeckt her space. And sometimes we nose kiss!

7. I love my Momma furry much, but I'm an eckstra-espeshul Daddy's Boy.

A Package From My Sweetiepie!

We Ballicai gotted a wunnerful package inna mail from my sweetiepie gurlfurriendkitty Ariel! We were so ecksited! First I checked it out...



Then Dorydoo checked it out.



And then Momma pulled out a superduper red mousie with fevvers on his butt! Ariel sent him just for me. I was so ecksited! I started playin with my new mousie, then I run oft with him in my mouth.



Then Momma pulled out two bee-yootiful new kollurs: a pink one for Dorydoo, and a green one fur Brainball! And my sweetiepie Ariel wroted me the sweetest note. It made me all warm and fuzzy.



After I readed my sweetie's note, I run oft to play with my mousie some more! I tooked him into the kitchen and spazzed and spazzed.



And spazzed and spazzed some more!



And Dorydoo and Brainball tried on their new kollurs! Here's Dorydoo modelling hers... isn't pink just purrfect with her jet black furs? (and Sweetiepie, see me behind Dorydoo in her first pickshure, smilin' at you?)





And here's Brainball modelling his... green and orange is purrfect with Brainball's orange furs!





And while Dorydoo and Brainball were checkin out their new kollurs, I tooked my new toy mousie into my lair (the baffroom) to play with him there. He's my most fav'rit toy I've efur hadded!



Thankies so much, Sweetiepie! I am the luckiest mancat inna wurld to have you as my beeyootiful girlcat. Dorydoo and Brainball thank you, too -- you are like a sistur to them, and we all love you furry much!

Meezer Mancat Monday

Momma and Daddy gotted me a kollur! They weren't sure if I'd wear it or not, but they thought, hey... why not see? And not only am I wearin' it, but I like it fine.

They picked me out a purple kollur, cuz I'm a Royal Meezer, and it's got paw prints on it. And though the kollur has a little bell, it isn't too loud or jingly. They told me they'd take the bell off if it bugged me, but it's okeydokeys.



And effury time Momma sees me she sez, "SQUEE! MaoMao looks so cute in his new kollur. " She was sayin' "SQUEE" when she took this pickshure!
