Dorydoo's Favorite Things

Okeydokey, I'm lettin' my other sister guest blog today. Brainball said Dorydoo could post about her favorite things if she wants to, so here she is! Dorydoo's closest to me in age -- she ain't even three years old yet. She's really intense and really smart, and she's a tomboy, too -- she loves rasslin' and playin' chase when she ain't workin' on her antigravity device.



What fun, my own blog post! Definitely enough to make me take a break from perfecting my antigravity device. I'm determined to be the first cat on the moon, you know. And when I get there, I'll squeak for joy! (I don't meow: I squeak, purr, chitter, chirp, and chatter, but I don't meow.)

Time of Day: Like the other Ballicai, I love Stinky Goodness time, but an extra special time for me is first thing in the morning before Momma gets out of bed. I like to walk around on her and lie on her hip and purr a lot, give her headbonkies, and squeak at her.

Day of the week: I can spaz out, jump, walk on air, work on my Black Kitty Projects, and pick on my brother MaoMao every day, so every day is a great day to be a cat! MaoMao really loves it when I squeak and shriek at him. Well, sometimes he doesn't. I'm just playing, though, most of the time, except for when he's really getting on my nerves. Brothers!

Season of the year: I like winter because the heaters are cozy. Heaters also afford me an excellent opportunity to study thermodynamics, which is crucial to understand if you are a physicist kitty like me and are working on defying gravity.

Holiday: I like Halloween because it's close to my birthday and lots of people put up pictures of kitties that look like me. Except I don't get why those kitties are always arching their backs. Are they mad because somebody has stolen their ideas for top secret Black Kitty Projects?

Beaches: A beach might be intriguing... I wonder if I could find a use for sand in my antigravity device?

Song: "Rocket Man" by Elton John.

Flower: I like hydrangea. It makes me think of globular clusters.

Talk show: Not a talk show, but I love Cosmos with Carl Sagan. Momma has it on DVD, and it's my favorite TV show ever.

Movie: Carl Sagan's Contact. I'm a kitty Ellie Arroway. After I go to the moon, I want to go to the center of the Galaxy!

Soaps: I don't need soap. I'm very good at baths.

Beverage: Tuna juice and good old H2O.

Fruit: Meh.

Snack: Pounce and beef livers sometimes and ohohohoh how I love stinky goodness!

Food: Felidae and stinky goodness. Out of all us Ballicai, I'm the least interested in human food.

Restaurant: The restaurant for kitties which I'm sure exists on the moon! Or if there isn't one, I'll build one. Girl Power!

Now, back to work! Or first maybe I'll take a nap. I get lots of good ideas for Black Kitty Projects in my dreams!

Brainball's Been Tagged!

My big floofmonster (Flooficus Monstriconus, Momma calls her) of a sistur Brainball's been taggied by my friends Mr. Chen & Ollie! hehehe, she's really excited. She's never been taggied before! So here's Brainball, in all her Brainballitude, and man oh man does my sistur have Brainballitude 'cause she's Big Bad (but nice, hehehe) Alpha Cat around here.



Brainball here. I'm pleased to be tagged! "Tag" sounds like play, and I do occasionally like to take time off from my Alphra Cat duties to play. So, here we go:

Time of Day: My very favorite time of day is when Mom dishes out Stinky Goodness, but while everybody goes berserk on the counter, I sit on the floor and wait patiently and with dignity as befits my status. And going berserk is tactically disadvantageous unless you are a Viking Warrior, and an Alpha Cat must always be at a tactical advantage, even a benevolent Alpha Cat like me. Another time of day I love is when Dad snacks on peanuts and gives me some. I love peanuts almost as much as I love stinky goodness.

Day of the week: Thursday, or "Thor's Day" (Thor = the Norse God of Thunder). I would love to be the Feline Goddess of Thunder. Quite befitting an Alpha Cat, don't you think?

Season of the year: Spring / summer, thereabouts. I love warm weather because more bugs and crawly-critters get into the house, and I like to keep my Mighty Huntress Skills sharp (pun on my claws definitely intended).

Holiday: Valentine's Day. Why? All right, if you insist, I'll show my soft side (other than all my fuzz, that is). Valentine's Day is close to my little brother Mao's Gotcha Day, and I love my little brother Mao. I have designated him as my Successor in the Ballicus Dynasty.

Beaches: Nah. It would seriously compromise my tactical effectiveness to get sand between my (very) furry toes. I would consider walking on a beach only if I had Feline Combat Boots.

Song: "Broadsword" by Jethro Tull.

Flower: I love the irises that grow all along the side of the house. I can see them through the living room window. I have to keep an eye on them, though. They would provide excellent cover for anyone who happened to be hiding there, and I am diligent about patrolling our perimeter and looking out for the safety of my grunts (that would be Mom, Dad, Dorydoo, Marilyn, and MaoMao).

Talk show: Talk, schmalk. I prefer action.

Movie: G. I. Jane. Movie about a woman who completes training to become a Navy Seal and kicks serious butt. And though everybody calls me Brainball, my real name is Calamity Jane.

Soaps: *out comes a hairball from the Brainball*, mmm, excuse me. Aspiring Navy Seal Amazon Womancats don't watch soaps.

Beverage: Everycat says this, but... tuna juice. But we Ballicai mainly drink water. Tuna juice is a treat. Can't drink tuna juice all the time. Discipline is important, after all.

Fruit: I ate a grape once. Mom and Dad laughed at the funny look on my face. I never ate another.

Snack: Peanuts, Pounce, peanuts, stinky goodness, peanuts. Can you tell I love peanuts? I don't eat too many of them, but I get them for a treat when Dad snacks on them.

Food: Felidae, stinky goodness, Pounce, beef liver, and... (you know it's coming) peanuts.

Restaurant: Anywhere that serves sweetmeats. And I don't mean hamburger with ice cream, either.

I'll tag anycat who hasn't played yet. Thank you, Mr. Chen and Ollie! This was fun. Hey, I might get Dorydoo to do this tomorrow, if she isn't too busy perfecting her antigravity device.

Time of Day: Stinky Goodness Time, after Momma gets up! The very second she gets outta bed I start hollerin', MAO! MAO! MAO! MAO! MAOMAOMAOMAOMAO! And Momma knows what that means: "I want my stinky goodness, I want my stinky goodness!"

Day of the week: I like every day of the week the same. There's always somethin' good to eat and always somethin' fun to play with.

Season of the year: I like winter 'cause I love layin' in front of the heater!

Holiday: I think groundhog day's really cool 'cause I'd like to meet a groundhog and play with him.

Beaches: What's a beach?

Song: "TNT" by AC/DC. That's my theme song. I love head bangin' heavy metal!

Flower: Daffy-dills.

Talk show: Don't watch no talk shows but I'd love to have one of my own. I think it'd be lotsa fun to get on camera and say MAO! MAO! MAO! MAOMAOMAO!

Movie: Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. Party on, dude!

Soaps: I like soap. I like battin' it outta the soap holdin' thingie and knockin' it around the bathtubbie.

Beverage: tuna juice rocks.

Fruit: I kinda like naners a little bit. You know, that long yellow fruitie.

Snack: POUNCE!

Food: Stinky goodness, stinky goodness, and stinky goodness. And yeah, dry food, Pounce, and any yummy human foods I can get my pawsies on. I LOVE FOOD!!!!

Restaurant: I'd love me a nice stinky goodness buffet with all kindsa stinky goodness flavors!
