Dorydoo's Nose Triplets

MaoMao's letting me blog again today -- yay! I read, in comments for the last post, where the Mosaic Cats asked me if I might have a nose like Dreamboat Annie. Hmmmmmm, let's see. Here's a close up of me, which shows my nose very well (and yes, that's Brainball in the background sleeping in the entertainment center, what a floofball!):

And here's a picture of Dreamboat Annie (I flipped it right side up so comparing our noses would be easier):

I think our noses are similar, don't you? We both seem to have aquiline, turned-up noses which are on the narrow side.

And here's Fiona, my little twin sister. I think her nose is like mine and Annie's too!

So that makes us all Kitty Nose Triplets!

Love and cuddles to everykitty,

Dorydoo.

Dorydoo Does the Proverb Meme

Dorydoo here! MaoMao said I could blog today -- I'm excited! So I thought I'd do the proverb meme that was going around the Cat Blogosphere a while back -- I love proverbs.

First and foremost:

A Black Cat in a Household Shall Always Signify Good Luck.

Also important:

With sufficient skill, there is no door that cannot be opened, no top on a container that cannot be popped.

I don't think MaoMao will like this one, but I'll offer it anyway:

With sufficient intimidation, there is no little brother who cannot be properly subdued.

And:

An extensive vocabulary of trills and squeaks will keep everyone in your household on their toes.

Last, but never least:

When you long to be the first cat on the moon, there is no substitute for aerial, acrobatic ability.

Happy Gotcha Day, Brainball! It's PAW-TAY Time!

From Mom and Dad: Brainball, you've been one of our most precious life gifts. You were the first kitty we had together, and because of you, we discovered the joy of being kitty parents. And there was no looking back. You, our true and steadfast Alpha Cat, began a Kitty Dynasty: the Ballicai, and you shall forever bear the title Ballicus the First (Ballicus I). Thank you, precious Brainball, for the joy you bring to our family every day, thank you for your sweet, loving, tough, steadfast nature, thank you for being the kitty who watches over the rest of us with vigilance, protection, and abiding love. We adore you, our first kitty daughter, our trusted friend, our cherished companion of many years, our Good Ol' Brainball, our precious ambulatory fuzzball with eyes. May we all share many, many, many more happy years together.

From Dorydoo: Hey there, Brainball, I wish you the best Gotcha Day ever! With my Gotcha Day wish comes worlds of thanks and appreciation for all you have done for me and all you have taught me. You helped Momma raise me. You became my Momcat, the Momcat I didn't ever have to leave. You and I made fast friends, and I found a warm, secure place in your big and loving heart and against your welcoming, floofy tummy. I am a big girl now, all grown up at almost-three years old, but I will always be your little Dorydoo, you'll always be my Momcat I never have to leave, and I will always love you more than I can say.

From Marilyn: Brainball, I know that sometimes you and I have our differences, but I love you very much, and my respect for you is immense. You are like the Great Warrior Queen Boudicea come back to earth as a cat, and you are an excellent influence on me, little Marilyn MonREOW with her oh-so-dreamy nature *smile*. You have taught me a great deal about both toughness and diplomacy, about standing one's ground with all four paws planted firmly on the earth and working things out. I learn something new from you every day, and I am so happy that you let me kiss your sweet ear yesterday. Sister dear, I wish you a wonderful, happy Gotcha Day.

From Chairman MaoMao: Wowie, Brainball, you're been with Momma and Daddy fur six years? That'sa whole lotta years! I think I must be the luckiest kittyboy in the world to wind up inna housie where you're the Alpha Cat. You teach me a lot efurry day about patrollin', lookin' after the other sisturs, lookin' after the beans, and all sorts of impawtant Alpha Cat stuff, and I know that you're groomin' me to be Ballicus II someday, and I can only hope that I'll make you proud when I'm followin' in your paw-steps. You're a tuff act to foller, and though I hope to be as good an Alpha Cat as you someday, I could nefur, efur be bettur. You're not only my sistur but you're my bestest friend and my mentor and a superduper cuddlebuddy, too. I love you, Brainball, and thankies for bein' the bestest big sistur a kittyboy could efur have. (And you take the bestest baths and you have the bestest pink tummy, hehe!)

From Brainball: Awwww. *sniff*. Thank you, everybody. I couldn't have had a happier home these past six years, and I hope I am here for sixty more years (MaoMao, it might be a while before you ascend to Ballicus II *wink*). I love all of you, and before I get too dad-blasted mushy (*sniff, sniff, sniff*), I'll get this party rockin'! HOOAH!!!!

PARTY ON THE BLOG!!!!

We've got 'nip, we've got tuna, we've got tuna juice, and we've got 'niptinis and tunatinis and lobster, shrimp, and stinky goodness by the bucketful, too! Everybody come party whenever you like, as often as you like! I love all of you, my Cat Blogosphere friends, and guess what... if you've never before seen a Butt Kickin' Girl Alpha Cat get seriously NIPPED, then you're in for a treat! *chortle*!
